Abo El Nomros Bridge

Abu El Nomros Flyover is a major transportation infrastructure project located in Giza Governorate, Egypt, designed to improve traffic circulation, upgrade the surrounding surface road network, and provide a direct connection to the Cairo–Aswan Agricultural Road. The project comprises a 1.53 km-long elevated bridge with a 9 m deck width accommodating two traffic lanes. The bridge configuration includes two approach ramps and one main span east of the railway connecting to the Cairo–Aswan Agricultural Road and two approach ramps with two bridge spans west of the railway adjacent to Abu El Nomros Village. In addition, the project includes the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge crossing the railway, which will replace the existing pedestrian crossing upon completion of the project. The bridge incorporates a combination of structural systems to suit the varying site constraints, including pile-supported deck slabs, precast concrete girders over the railway, reinforced concrete box sections over the canal and roadway, retaining walls founded on piles, and reinforced concrete gravity walls.
