Business District - New Capital

Client: Al Gabaly Architects Scope: Structural Design | Supervision Location: New Administrative City, Egypt

The project consists of three administrative buildings. The following names correspond to each building:
  • 23.B2 - Al Safi: The building known as "23.B2" spans from the basement to the first floor. Starting from the second until the roof, the floors get fully separated into two parts. The building has a total land area of about 5,550 sqm. It consists of two basements, a ground floor, seven upper floors, and a roof. Building “23.B2” consists of a cantilever structure with span extending up to approximately 16 to 17.5 meters, starting The project extends from the third floor to the roof. The project primarily uses a typical 8.50m x 8.50m module, as per the drawings. Flat Slabs with thickened drop panels at the column's location are proposed for the typical panels. A series of concrete columns and cores support the floors, while a concrete raft serves as the foundation.
  • 23. B3-Interlace | Guardian: A single expansion joint divides the building "23.B3" into two parts from the basement up to the second floor. Starting From the third floor to the roof, the floors fully divide into two sections. The building has a total land area of about 9500 sqm. It consists of two basements, a ground floor, seven floors, and a roof. Building “23.B3” also consists of a cantilever structure with a span extending up to approximately 16 to 17.5 meters, starting from the third floor until the roof. The drawings primarily utilize a typical module measuring 8.50m x 8.50m. The typical panels propose flat slabs with thickened drop panels at the column locations. A series of concrete columns and cores support the floors, which in turn rest on a concrete raft.
  • 23.B5 - Abnaa Sina The building named “23.B5” consists only of 1 part. The building has a total land area of about 5930 m². It consists of three basements, a ground floor, seven floors, and a roof. Building “23.B5” also consists of a cantilever structure with a span extending up to approximately 14 to 15 meters, starting from the third floor until the roof. The drawings primarily utilize a typical module measuring 8.50 m x 8.50 m. The typical panels propose flat slabs with thickened drop panels at the column locations. The floors are A concrete raft supports a series of concrete columns and cores, which support the floors.
