Kayan 5 Bridge

Octagon (5) Bridge is 182 m long with five spans in addition to the bridge ramps. The first and the last span are RC precast beams with length of 30 m. However, the span between P1-P2 is precast PT beams with length 38 m, spans between P2-P3, P3-P4 and P4-P5 are precast RC beams with length 27m, 25m and 32m respectively. All the RC precast beams are rested on bearing pads at the pier heads locations. The pier heads concrete dimension is (2400x1600-mm) at mid span and (2400x2000) at column, which is supported on a circular column of diameter 2300 mm and 2000 mm at the connection with foundation. The columns are rested on pile cap with thickness equal to 1800mm and 2300 mm.
