Client: Hassan Allam Sons Scope: Structural Strengthening Location: Giza, Egypt

The hospital was built with prestressed flat plates. The building consists of two basements, a ground floor, and 3 typical floors. The floors are constructed with prestressed concrete flat plates of 250 mm thickness and prestressed in two directions using 0.6-inch low-relaxation steel strands. The jacking stresses reach 75% of the ultimate tensile strength of the strands.
